Iconic Anime Characters Traverse the Multiverse: Your Favorite Cartoons Reimagined in the Style of Both Western and Japanese Media

Greetings, geeks and nerds of the internet. Multiverses are all the rage in contemporary media. The popularity and success of Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse have made the multiverse hypothesis a household topic and dinnertime talking point. The concept has been around for a long time, though. If you're introduction to it wasn't a 2016 video essay set to trippy stock images or Rick and Morty's Inter-dimensional Cable, then perhaps you recall the Fairly-Odd Parents movie "Channel Chasers," which features a sequence in which Timmy Turner jumps from TV show to TV show. With each new show, his animation style changes, and he meets characters that are clearly referencing popular real-life cartoons: "The Futerellis" reference The Jetsons, "Carpet Critters" reference Rugrats, "Walnuts" reference Peanuts, "Maho Mishu" reference Dragon Ball Z, and so on. It was mind-blowing to see Timmy drawn in all of those unique universes. Perhaps that is why I find these ai images of anime characters so compelling-- it gives me the same feeling I had as a child watching "Channel Chasers."
